Reporting infringement

If you believe material here infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at dmca@hotmesh.app.

Your notice must include: your signature, physical or electronic; identification of the work you say is infringed; the URL of the material you want removed; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

Incomplete notices delay removal. Knowingly false notices carry liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. 512(f).

What we do

We review valid notices and generally remove or disable the material within 72 hours, then notify the account that posted it.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed in error you may send a counter-notice to the same address, including your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court.

We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after forwarding a valid counter-notice, unless the original complainant tells us they have filed suit.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that attract repeated valid notices are terminated. Note that non-consensual likeness is handled under our Content Policy and is acted on faster than the copyright process.
